Portela Pediatrics & Friends is a privately owned, bilingual pediatric practice serving families throughout Franklin, Spring Hill, Thompson's Station, and the surrounding Middle Tennessee communities. Founded by Dr. Paola Portela, MD, MHA, FAAP, and co-founded by Denise Gonzalez, our practice is built on a shared passion for providing compassionate, personalized pediatric care. Originally from Chicago, we each bring more than 20 years of healthcare experience and leadership to Middle Tennessee. We provide comprehensive pediatric care from newborns through adolescence in English and Spanish. As a vaccine-friendly practice, we partner with families through education, trust, and evidence-based medicine to help every child thrive.
