SUMMARY:Young Professionals: Good Company November Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Young Professionals: Good Company at Freedom Reigns Ranch for our November volunteer event an evening of service\, connection\, and hands-on work that supports a meaningful local mission.\n\n\n\nThis month\, we're trading the usual mixer format for an opportunity to roll up our sleeves\, get outside\, and serve together. Whether you're coming with coworkers\, friends\, or on your own\, this event is a great way to meet other young professionals while making a real impact.\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nVolunteer Projects\n\nost of the tasks at the ranch require a medium to intense level of physical ability so groups should come prepared to do physical work that involves getting VERY dirty. Projects may include weed eating\, clearing brush\, simple building\, raking leaves\, digging\, mucking stalls\, cleaning tack\, etc.\n\n\n\nIf you have team members who need less physical tasks\, please let us know and we can have some ready.\n\n\n\nRelaxed\, Welcoming Connection\n\nNo awkward networking required. Serving together makes it easy to start conversations\, meet new people\, and build relationships in a meaningful way.\n\n\n\nWaiver\n\nAll volunteers will need to sign a liability waiver which is required for all activities done on ranch property. Please complete it prior to arrival. Here is the link: https://form.jotform.com/221726866114154\n\n\n\nClothing/Bring\n\nVolunteers will need clothing that can get VERY dirty and potentially ruined\, including shoes. It is strongly suggested to wear long pants due to bugs and work in taller grass. Closed-toed shoes or boots are REQUIRED. Please wear warm clothing as it will be mid-November (layers are your friend). We would love for people to bring any weedeaters that they might have. Please bring water bottles. We have a cooler you can refill from in the tack room. Freedom Reigns will provide bug spray (containing DEET)\, sunscreen\, work gloves\, all supplies and tools\, etc.\n\n\n\nSafety Information\n\nPlease do not enter pastures unless accompanied by a Freedom Reigns staff member or volunteer. Proper safety around horses will be taught upon arrival. We will have mentorship Sessions going on so please keep a respectful distance from session groups and treat horses like working service animals (ie. Do not pet or interact with unless permission is given). Do not take pictures/videos of participants.\n\n\n\nPlease alert us in advance of any medical issues that could potentially arise while at the Ranch (ie. Seizure disorders\, heat sensitivity\, bee allergies or anything requiring an epipen\, etc.) All decisions regarding first aid\, emergency\, or transportation offsite are to be made by the individual or that individual's onsite leader.\n\n\n\nParking\n\nThere is a gravel parking lot directly to the right of entering through teal gate and a FRR banner at the entrance of our property.\n\n\n\nDirections \n\nAddress: 2080 Arthur Hardison Rd\, Columbia\, TN 38401\n\n\n\nFrom I-65- get off on Bear Creek Pike and go east. Drive 1.4 miles and turn RIGHT onto Carpenter Bridge Road Drive 1.8 miles and turn RIGHT onto Luther Sharp Road Drive .8 miles and turn LEFT onto Arthur Hardison (dirt road). (The mailbox has a sign with an arrow on it in front of Arthur Hardison.) They are .6 miles on the right.\n\n\nSet Yourself Up for Success\n\nWhether this is your first networking event or your fiftieth\, here are a few ways to make the most of the evening:\n\n \n\n Bring business cards (if you have them) or be ready to exchange contact information digitally.\n\n Challenge yourself. Introduce yourself to at least three new people. Some of the best opportunities begin with a simple conversation.\n\n Be curious. Ask questions\, learn about others\, and focus on building genuine relationships not just collecting business cards.\n\n Visit every vendor. Our vendors are investing in this experience and are excited to connect with you. You may discover valuable resources\, career opportunities\, or even your next favorite local business.\n\n Stay until the end! We'll wrap up the evening with raffle prize drawings featuring prizes from our vendors and community partners you must be present to win.\n\n \n\nGood Company is where connections become friendships\, conversations spark opportunities\, and emerging leaders find their place in Spring Hill.\n\n \nCome as you are. Leave with new connections\, fresh ideas\, and maybe even a few new friends.\n\n\n\nThank you to our Founding Sponsor\, United Community\, for making Good Company possible!
