Moderator: Galen LongoDirector, MTSU's Small Business Development Centers
A longtime resident of Middle Tennessee, Galen Longo joined MTSU’s Tennessee Small Business Development Center in July 2023 after spending 20 wonderful years in the banking industry. As Director of MTSU’s TSBDC, Galen is an expert on all matters related to business planning, strategic planning, business development, leadership, lending, credit, and cash flow analysis. Earning both his Bachelor Degree as well as his his Master of Finance from MTSU, he feels incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to apply 100% of this education and his prior financial services experience directing all efforts and activities over 14 counties and beyond in Middle Tennessee. He personally takes great pride in imparting his knowledge of Finance, Lending, and Business Development to his clients and teammates. Galen is an avid fisherman and hunter, and his family spend most of their spare time fishing and/or on the water.

Melissa Webb
Director of Development, Bright Apple
Melissa Webb is the Director of Development for Bright Apple, a local nonprofit that provides healthy snacks for students. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communications working with businesses throughout Middle Tennessee as the owner her communications company, Melissa Webb Communications. She is also a freelance marketing writer for the Nashville Business Journal. Melissa and her husband, Emmett, have four kids and have been married for 22 years. Melissa has been involved in the local community as a past board member of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Spring Hill Imagination Library. She was a founding member of the Spring Hill Kiwanis Club and coordinated their Keys to Education Golf Tournament. She is currently a member of the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce Member Relations Committee.
