The Spring Hill Chamber in Middle Tennessee is thrilled to continue its inaugural thought leader series, Innovation Lives Here sponsored by Premier Design Build. This series, modeled after the globally renowned TED® talks, promises to become a key event for professionals, entrepreneurs, and visionaries in the area. The series will include events on March 20, July 24, and October 16, 2024, each featuring a diverse group of distinguished speakers who will share transformative ideas and insights from various fields, including digital innovation, education, and visionary leadership.

This year's theme is INNOVATION, reflecting Middle Tennessee's dynamic mix of culture, technology, and business, providing an ideal setting for exploring new ideas in creativity and progress. Each event will focus on different aspects of innovation, allowing participants to attend one, two, or all three events to gain a comprehensive understanding of the theme.

A Celebration of Innovation

The Innovation Lives Here speaker series invites community members to engage with transformative ideas and connect with like-minded individuals. It provides an opportunity for attendees to interact with speakers and peers, fostering a community of curious and passionate innovators. As we approach the second event of this series, set for Wednesday, July 24, 2024, we welcome all from the Nashville area and beyond to join us in this enriching journey of discovery, featuring a lineup of distinguished speakers.

🎙 Jason Schmitt

Chief Executive Officer, Old Time Pottery

Jason Schmitt served as Chief Executive Officer for Old Time Pottery, a private equity sponsored omnichannel home décor retailer headquartered in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with over 1,000 employees and operations in 12 Southeastern and Midwestern states. Jason assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in August 2019, subsequently architecting a successful turnaround of its business operations that has resulted in substantial revenue, profitability, and workforce expansion and sold Old Time Pottery to Gabe’s in mid-2023. Prior to joining Old Time Pottery, Jason enjoyed a 20-year career as a Fortune 500 executive at Walmart, Amazon, Gap, Mattel, ArcelorMittal, and McKinsey & Company. Jason presently serves on the State Workforce Development Board for Tennessee, the Dean’s Executive Advisory Council for Middle Tennessee State University’s Jones College of Business, and the Board of the United Way of Rutherford, Cannon, and Bedford Counties. Jason earned his A.B. magna cum laude in Social Studies and J.D. cum laude from Harvard University.

🎙 Beth Raebeck

Founder, MusicRow411 / Speak in Your Voice

A native New Yorker, Beth Raebeck Hall is known as a spitfire thinker and creative spark plug. She is a Grammy-nominated songwriter/artist, award-winning writer, published author, and entrepreneur. Founder/owner of MusicRow411, a digital learning platform, Galaxy Songs, Speak in Your Voice and CrazyRae Music (BMI), she co-founded the world’s largest songwriting festival, Tin Pan South and, created the brand. Hall’s razor-sharp in-sight, and ability to help young companies move forward is well known. Uniquely, she has served on all sides of the equation founder/advisor, client/agency, the brand/ brand advocate, the talent and a unilateral connector. She is sought after as a speaker and panelist.

🎙 Sam Davidson

CEO | Nashville Entrepreneur Center

Sam Davidson is CEO of Nashville Entrepreneur Center (The EC). Prior to that, he has been a four-time entrepreneur and believes that the height of one’s success is directly related to the depth of their community. Davidson has twice been named a “Most Admired CEO” by the Nashville Business Journal. Both Davidson and his companies have appeared in numerous media outlets, including The New York Times, Southern Living, The Boston Globe, NPR, and USA Today. In 2020, Davidson founded SmallBusinessPledge.org to raise awareness about the positive impact small businesses have on communities all across America, especially as so many closed permanently due to COVID-19.

10:20 AM – 12:20 PM: Speaker presentations
11:20 AM – 11:30 AM: Q&A
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Networking opportunity with speakers and fellow attendees
