The nonprofit community service GFWC Spring Station Woman's Club, a member of the Chamber, is hosting a free community chalk art contest and exhibit for students, adults, and professionals. It will be Saturday, October 25 in Fischer Park on Port Royal from 8 am-3pm. The public will be encouraged to view the artwork while the artist is working on their entry and after it's completed.
The contest is open to all public, private, and home-schooled children, adults, and professional artists.
We are looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor a cash prize for winners. We would like to offer three cash prizes for the winning art in each category. $100 will provide a monetary award for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for one grade/age category.
Donors will receive significant publicity in social and print media before and after the event. A representative of the company is welcome to personally award the prize(s) to the winners!
